I first entered filmmaking through my twin sister, Lyndsey, who has been directing since leaving school. Though my academic background is in Science and Consultancy, my heart has always been in the creative arts - from painting murals for the Children’s Ward of the Cumberland Infirmary to producing a documentary for the Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team. Filmmaking even brought me together with my husband, N. Andrew Elliot, who I met after he was cast in a short film I wrote and produced.

Today, Andrew and I collaborate on our own films and serve as key crew members for Where Poppies Grow. As a hands-on jack of all trades person, I handle on set photography, set painting, prop making, and costume design - doing whatever it takes on the day to bring period stories to life alongside a fantastic team. I am very grateful for the experience Where Poppies Grow has given me, it has inspired me to pursue my own creative projects including building a half scale tardis on wheels for my Doctor Who obsessed son, along with folk horror inspired masks and costumes for our short Beware the Crimson Hare. Currently I am working on designing and making puppet costumes for The Tales of Camelot, a pilot from Where Poppies Grow for an children’s streaming series and finalising costumes for our tank crew as we move to resume filming of Pendragon. I enjoy the challenge of being creative with an excellent group of talented people who are all supportive and encouraging, the best of which was our leader, Ronnie Papaleo - a truly brilliant man. Despite our devastating loss, we aim to continue his work and fulfil his vision in completing his feature film Pendragon.
